Stremel. On Wednesday, May 23, 1888, at ten minutes to 12 a.m., Mabel M. Stremel, only daughter of Lewis and Lillie Stremel, aged 2 and a half years.
Little hands so meekly folded
Over Mabel's pulseless breast;
Little heart we loved so fondly
Beats no more--she is at rest.

The days are sad and lonely,
And full of deepest woe,
And for our little darling
The sad tears often flow.

Her little crib is empty,
Her playthings laid aside,
And loving hearts are weeping
For our little pet that died.
