Priddy, Mary E. | d. 27 Oct 1883 | 4 yrs. 2 mos. | R 94 S 315
Priddy. In this city, on Saturday, October 27, 1883, after a few days of severe suffering, caused by burning, Mary E., daughter of E. Clifford and Eliza Priddy, aged 4 years and 2 months. In the death of this sprightly and loving child a fond father and mother have been brought to grief, and a happy home rendered desolate by the loss of one childs brightest jewels. Little Mamie was loved by all who knew her, for truly she was bright and interesting, and many are the tears, coupled with those of her heart-stricken parents, over her sudden and ruthless death. Weep not, parents, for your little one is safely housed in her Father's house, free from pain and suffering, where it is your privlege to meet her and join in giving praise to Him who hath said, "Suffer little children to come unto me, and forbid them not, for of such is the kingdom of heaven." Oh! hushed is now her prattle, Mute now her lisping tongue, And cold the form of loveliness To which you fondly clung. Friend. More
