Piggott. At 5 o'clock p.m., on Sunday, the 16th instant, William C. Piggott, in his 38th year, son of the late Mason A. Piggott. He served his country in various capacities long, faithfully and well on the Pacific coast, and returned but a short time since to the scenes of his boyhood, to have his bones mingle in the dust of the earth with the others of his kindred who had gone before. His departure in the spirit from this world was calm and serene, though his bodily suffering had been intense during his illness; and while in the last struggle with death, he called his sorrowing relatives and friends around him and bade them be of good cheer, that he had made his peace with God; and then

His spirit winged its flight on high,
To bliss immortal beyond the sky.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend his funeral today (Monday) at 3 p.m., from the residence of A. Proctor, Esq., No. 468 17th street. Q.T.
