Paine. At Brown’s Hotel in this city on Wednesday night, 9th inst., Capt. Thomas Paine of the U.S. Navy in the 74th year of his age; a citizen of South Carolina and for the last 20 years a resident of Charleston. Officers of the Navy and Army and citizens of South Carolina are requested to attend the funeral of Capt. Paine at 12 o’clock Friday, 11th from Brown’s Hotel.
