     How we will miss the welcome footsteps
     Of the one we loved so dear;
     Oft we listen for her coming,
     Feeling sure that she is near.

     We did not stand beside her bed
     Nor did we see her life depart,
     But when we heard that she was dead
     It nearly broke our hearts.
          Loving Mother and Family
