McKnight. On Monday, August 11, 1884, after a short illness, Arthur D. McKnight, of the Adjutant General's Office, in the 37th year of his age. He leaves a beloved wife, son, mother, brothers and sisters to mourn his untimely death. The funeral will take place from the residence of his brother-in-law, J.D. McKnight. In this city on the evening of the 7th inst. after a lingering illness, Mr. Orlando McKnight in the 61st year of his age. The funeral will take place from his late residence, 1749 K street near 18th at 10 o'clock tomorrow (Wed.) morning.

Enlisted on 24 June 1898 in Company D, Third Regiment Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He was honorably discharged on 3 August 1898 in Florida on a disability. After his discharge he resided in Detroit, Michigan. In 1902 he became an inmate of the National Soldiers' Home at Hampton, Va., and was committed to St. Elizabeth's in May 1904. He died in the Governement Hospital for the Insane.
