Lewis. On Monday, October 9, 1916 at 2:30 a.m., Susie F. Brown, wife of William B. Lewis, departed this life after a short illness. Funeral Wednesday, October 11 from her sister's residence, Mrs. John F. Williams, 464 G street southwest, thence to St. Dominic's Church where at 10 o'clock mass will be said for the response of her soul. Relatives and friends invited. Interment private.

Lewis. Early on Thursday morning, Mrs. Susan Jean Lewis, aged 34 years, wife of Edward S. Lewis, Esq. of this city. The life of this truly amiable lady was distinguished by the cultivation and practice of every Christian virtue; and the pious resignation she displayed under the severe sufferings of her protracted illness afford to her afflicted relatives and friends. The consolatory assurance that she has been taken from a world of pain and sorrow to the enjoinment of unending happiness in the bosom of her Father and her God. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral Sunday afternoon next from her late residence at Greenleaf's Point at 4 o'clock p.m.

Lewis. Departed this life February 20, 1894, at 7:25 a.m., after a long and painful illness, Theodore, beloved husband of Elizabeth Lewis, in his 71st year.
