LaForge. In Alexandria on the 18th inst. at 2 o'clock a.m. after an illness of 11 days of typhoid fever, Ada Hancock LaForge aged 19 years 3 months 6 days, daughter of Andrew Hancock, Esq. of Washington, D.C. (Baltimore papers please copy). LaForge. On the 18th instant, of typhoid pneumonia, Ada, beloved wife of Samuel F. LaForge, and daughter of Andrew Hancock, Esq., aged 19 years. The brightness of earth can no more woo my heart, Nor take from this bosom grief's festering dart, For Ada, dear Ada, lies pale with the dead, The flowerest breathing perfume round her bed, Death rode on the storm pneumonia in hand, And bore thy beloved from the beautiful land; The sunshine no more can enreath her bright hair. Those blue eyes are closed--death's seal is placed there. (Baltimore papers please copy). |
