He had been for a number of years severely afflicted with chronic affections of the liver and stomach; and on Monday night preceding his death he was violently attacked with the bilious colic, which continued with varied severity until within a few hours of his decease, when he appeared to be entirely relieved from pain, and continued so to the last. He died without a struggle, and in the full possession of all his faculties, leaving to his much afflicted family and friends, the cheering and sufficient evidence that he had secured his eternal home, where there are no sorrows nor suffering, and where he will receive the reward of a well spent and virtuous life. The funeral will take place this morning at 8 o’clock, from his late residence, on the corner of F and 14th street West.
