Fanning. On Friday, the 16th instant, at 25 minutes to 1 p.m., after a long and painful illness, which he bore with Christian fortitude and resignation. William H. Fanning, aged 41 years, 7 months, and 11 days.
     O, my husband, art thou dead,

     The color from thy cheek has fled,
