Cownes. On Thursday, April 12, 1934, at 4:30 p.m., at the residence of his daughter, Mrs. C.W. Foster, of Chesterbrook, Va., Arthur Elem, son of the late Thomas Cownes. He is survived by his wife, Lucy R. Cownes; two daughters, Mrs. C.W. Foster and Mrs. Annie Bell Atbozast; one sister, Mrs. Jennie Schewning, and one brother, C.H. Cownes. Funeral services at the W.W. Chambers Co. Southeast funeral home, 517 Eleventh street southeast on Saturday, April 14, at 2:30 p.m. Interment at Glenwood Cemetery [sic]. Relatives and friends invited to attend.
