Christman, Mamie Rosa | d. 9 Mar 1885 | 1 yr. 1 mo. 12 days | R 1 S 227
Christman. Mamie Rosa Christman, Monday, March 9th, 1885, at 10 o’clock a.m., only daughter of Daniel and Rosa Christman, aged thirteen months and twelve days of pneumonia. We watched her breathing through the night Her breathing soft and low, As in her breast the wave of life Went heaving to and fro. Our very hopes belied our fears, Can fears our hopes belie; We thought her dying when she slept, And sleeping when she died. Human hands have tried to save her, Sighs and tears are all in vain, But an angel came and bore her From this world of pain. By Her Parents Will be buried from her parents’ residence Wednesday, March 11th at 3 p.m. Friends and relatives are respectfully invited to attend.
