Baden. At his residence, in Prince George's county, (Md.) on the 25th instant, Clement Baden, Esq., in the 69th year of his age. During the late war with England, he held a commission in the service of his nativew State, and was frequently called into active service. In later life he filled for many years the office of magistrate, with credit to himself and usefulness to the public. In the various relations which he sustained to society and to his family, as citizen, magistrate, husband, and father, he was noted for the propriety, urbanity, and dignity of his manners -- but above all, for his unflinching integrity and good faith. He has left a numerous and highly respectable family, with a wide circle of friends, to mourn his loss. (National Intelligencer, March 29, 1851, p. 4) |
